The two Forest 4th grade teams faced off today with the Padres taking the victory over the Blue Jays. While it was somewhat a blow out at the end, the game sat in the balance at 8 to 4 after 3 innings.

Shaun Thompson Drives in Four to Seal Forest Padres 4th grade ‘s Victory Over Forest Blue Jays. Shaun Thompson was an RBI machine on Sunday, driving in four on three hits to lead Forest Padres 4th grade past Forest Blue Jays 19-4 on Sunday. Thompson drove in runs on a double in the fourth and a triple in the fourth.

Forest Padres 4th grade secured the victory thanks to 11 runs in the fourth inning. Forest Padres 4th grade batters contributing to the big inning included Simon Kotowski, Thompson, Dave Tuckwell, Matt Thomas, Eric Deuxberry, and Kotowski, who all drove in runs. Forest Padres 4th grade opened up scoring in the first inning.

Forest Padres 4th grade put up 11 runs in the fourth inning. Kotowski, Thompson, Tuckwell, Thomas, Deuxberry, and Kotowski all contributed in the big inning with RBIs. Deuxberry got the start for Forest Padres 4th grade. He went one and one-third innings, allowing four runs on five hits.

William De Laine was on the hill for Forest Blue Jays. He went two innings, allowing five runs on three hits and striking out four. Adam Greenwood and Peter Edmunds entered the game as relief, throwing one and one-third innings and two-thirds of an inning respectively.

Forest Padres 4th grade had 12 hits in the game. Raf Kontrym, Thompson and Ciaran O’Donnell each racked up multiple hits for Forest Padres. Thompson and Kontrym each collected three hits to lead Padres. Forest Padres stole 17 bases during the game as five players stole more than one. Deuxberry led the way with five. Forest Padres didn’t commit a single error in the field. Kotowski had the most chances in the field with five.

Greenwood went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Forest Blue Jays in hits.
