**Season update**

Trial round this Saturday (10th September). Keep an eye on this page for finalised draw and field allocations. Time to have a bit of fun!

**Registration update**

The registration portal has been closed and teams formed. However, registrations will continue in U8 Futures (email: registrar@forestbaseball.com to join).

If you have missed out in older age groups but are still interested in playing, please send an expression of interest to our registrar (registrar@forestbaseball.com) to join a waitlist.

For those born between September 2009 and August 2012, Intermediate League will also be available on Wednesday nights starting in mid-October. Keep an eye out for more information and registrations opening. 

 

General club information 

  • Forest Baseball Club caters for players of all abilities from ages 4 and up. 
  • Between 4 and 7 years of age (i.e. U8), skills sessions and small-sided games are run in-house with other Forest players and teams.
  • From Under 9 through to Under 16, Forest teams play against other clubs affiliated with Manly-Warringah Junior Baseball League.
  • From the age of 15 players have the opportunity to progress into our senior competition where they continue to play in the Manly-Warringah Baseball League.

Under 8 (Forest Futures) in-house program

  • Played Saturday mornings (9am to 10am) for 10 weeks (September – December).
  • Approximately 30 minute skill sessions followed by 30 minute mini-games.
  • All sessions are conducted at Aquatic Reserve Baseball Park.
  • Cost is $170 and includes Forest cap, pants, playing t-shirt AND first glove! Returning Futures can elect to pay $120 if they don’t require new kit.
  • Use your Active Kids Voucher to obtain a $100 reduction on fees at registration.

Under 9 to Under 16 (Teeball / Zooka / Live pitch)

  • Each division plays in the same time slot each week with games 1 to 2 hours depending on the division (see chart below) over 15 rounds with finals thereafter for Zooka and up. 
  • Training is for 1-1.5hrs (age dependent) after school on weekdays at Aquatic Reserve, Ararat Reserve or Bambara Reserve. 
  • Games are played on a home and away basis at different grounds in Frenchs Forest, Warriewood, Curl Curl and Cromer. Forest’s home field is Aquatic Reserve Baseball Park in Frenchs Forest. 
  • Cost is $190 for U9 (includes playing top on loan) and between $260-$280 for U10 through U16.
  • Use your Active Kids Voucher to obtain a $100 reduction on fees at registration.

Senior (Adult) Baseball

  • There are generally three grades in the Summer League, with 1st grade targeted at those that want to play competitive baseball, 2nd grade targeted at those that want to play more for the social experience and 3rd grade for newcomers to the game and those just looking for a fun, social, sporting activity.
  • Games are 2 hour timed games played at 1.30pm and 4.00pm on Saturday and some Sunday afternoons.
  • The competition is designed to provide an opportunity for those aged 15 and over to play baseball at home on the Northern Beaches with limited travel.
  • Most games are played at Aquatic Reserve Baseball Park in Frenchs Forest and Rat Park in Warriewood.
